Road Trip

The Mrs and I took a road trip to North Carolina this past week. Had fun just goofing off and taking in the scenery around Charlotte.

Our route took us through Arkansas and Tennessee. I like this route because of the hills and mountains. That just makes the drive/ride more enjoyable for me. Texas landscape is boring.

Not much we really found we wanted to do, but did have fun. Went and looked at some big metal head at a business park type area. Then went walking a bit around downtown looking at old houses and random architecture. No good Brutalist stuff. Boo.

We also ended up visiting one of the downtown art galleries. It is 4 floors, but the space was small and not much to look at. We were there for about 30 minutes.

Had lunch at the Old Mecklenburg Brewery. Food and beer was alright.

Fun trip, but it’s nice to be back. We’ll have to figure out where to go next year.
