Top 20 of 2023, Part 2

This next batch is a mix of things, but that is probably likely for the whole list.

15: T.A.P – Paradigms

I recently reviewed Paradigms by T.A.P. it is a great instrumental album that hits a lot of targets with its blues/prog/ambient blend of tones and sound.

14: Maybe Human – Ape Law

This album actually came out last year in November. I was listening to it in the early half of this year, though, so it snuck into my 2023 list. Anyway, another great instrumental album with audio snippets in a post-rock/ space rock kind of vibe.

13: Black Rainbows – Superskull

Back to some more stoner rock stomping grounds, Black Rainbows once again churned out great album. They are always good at mixing modern sounds with vintage vibes. Also reviewed this one.

12: Smokey Mirror – Smokey Mirror

Local friends right here, and a great album to top it. Been a minute since I’ve seen them live, definitely worth it, and this album has been holding me over until the next show. Great heavy psychedelic blues jamming front to back.

11: REZN & Vinnum Sabathi – Silent Future

This album mashes a lot of buttons for me. REZN and Vinnum Sabbathi hit all the ambient-doom-gazey-psych notes that there are, and don’t stop.

Next week, I’ll start my dive into the top ten. Might go deeper on those, but probably not since I’m shitty with words.
