When I’m not at home listening to music on my stereo, which is most of the time, I’m playing something through Spotify. We have a family subscription, so I’ve been using that since we’ve had it. Not sure how long that has been. I figured I might as well use it as a reason to post here and work on my writing some. This series, if I write more posts anyways, is about Spotify recommendations. I’ll check out stuff on that every once in a while, and today’s caught my ear.
Bada, by Bada popped up in my recommendations due to my excessive listening of Zombi. May be they think I need to try something different but in the same vein. Bada was released in 2020, and is a great instrumental album. I can hear the connection Spotify may have made between them and Zombi, but they are definitely different. Bada’s approach has more ambient and drone elements, which I love. They seem to blend heavier elements into the ambience, but also incorporating some rhythmic elements and noise.
Other than a live album, Bada has not released any other albums. I haven’t found them on the socials, other than on YouTube.
I would also recommend Bada by Bada.
