Show Recap: Headeraser, Stem Afternoon, Leaking Bright

Saturday’s show at The Grackle Art Gallery was fun! An evening with a mix of psych, ambient, dub, post, prog, and doom was had by all attendees. We were fortunate enough to have Linda’s Liquid Light show accompany all the bands!

The event was kicked off by Leaking Bright. A strong mix of live looped psych and mellow melodies. This blended well with the light show making its moves in the background. Great way to start the evening.

Bringing some dub to the mix next was Stem Afternoon. I dig the mix of styles they bring to their chill jams. Actually the first time I’ve got to see them. Caught half there set before it was time to start setting my crap up for Headeraser, but still could hear them as I prepped on the porch of The Grackle Art Gallery.

Headeraser (Cook and I) rounded out the evening. We brought our psych/prog/doom/post whatever songs to the table and did what  we did. I think we provided a great set, even with the usual flub here and there. It’s harder to hide those when wittled down to a two-piece band. We’ll work on tightening that up.
