I actually played a Stone Machine Electric gig with both of these bands, but at different shows from each other. They were probably 5 to 6 years ago, but kind of cool none the less when you show up to a Tuesday night show that is not home to either and it is packed. Now I’m just going to make myself jealous. Ug!

Rickshaw Billie’s Burger Patrol opens the show. They put on a good set. Kind of reminded me of Nerf Herder with that funny/comedy rock vibe, but leaning more metal. I don’t recall their music from when I played with them, and I don’t recall their set from that far back. The crowd were into what they laid down, and I think they had a long line at their merch table. They were OK, I guess. Not my vibe, but good show.

King Buffalo, obviously, closed out the night. I’ve said it before, and I’ll likely keep saying it, but I’m not good at remembering song titles anymore. I recognized most of their set, definitely good stuff. They do pull off the heavy psych sound, and I’d describe them as a mashup of Pink Floyd and Muse. Maybe that makes sense.

Glad I made it out, but still wish there was like half the crowd there. Sorry, I cherish my personal space more these days. Maybe I should become the old man in a bubble.
