Tokyo/Home: Day 10

Haneda Airport

For it to rain any day, this was probably the best since it was that time of the trip where it came to the transition back to the regular. Though, regular life seems to be slightly different based on current events, or at least that is what I am anticipating once I do get home. Blah.

After check out, which involved putting a check out magnet on the door to the rooms, we headed to Asakusa Station to get on the rail to Haneda Airport.

Arrived well before boarding time, so I couldn’t check in my suitcase yet. So coffee and food it shall be with luggage tagging along.

Haneda Airport

The rest of the day, prior to boarding, consisted of walking the shops, having a beer, and saying ‘later, homie’ to Mr. Horn. Had a little “fun” finally getting to check the suitcase. I think i got through security quicker than that, which is opposite the experience back at DFW Airport.

Once through there, a quick hunt for 7-11 to grab a snack and go wait to board. Bummed the fun has come to an end, but looking to getting home and seeing the Mrs. face.

Long-ass flights are no fun, but the flight back wasn’t too painful. Luckily, it was shorter coming home. It’s still not comfortable trying to sleep mostly upright. At least I was fed and knocked out Dune part 2.

Customs were quick, and I got out of the airport to await my beautiful ride and see her beautiful face again!

Japan was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to hang out with Mr. Horn after so many years. Here’s to hoping we can do it again and have another adventure in another part of the world.
