Back At It?

My studio’s current condition

Well, it’s time to go back to reality. Japan was awesome, and I plan on collecting my thoughts about it after it stews first a bit in my head. First day back to work, so, yeah.

Now, I have to get back into the swing of things. Things to do around the house, drum practice, band practice, and work.

I’m also planning to record two songs this month for the RPM Challenge. It was going to be one, but since I have a bunch of blank cassettes to fill, I’ve decided to do two. I also only plan to release it that way on Bandcamp to see if no streaming is viable. I have more followers on Bandcamp versus listeners on Spotify. I don’t know what it is across all streaming services, but part of me doesn’t care. Access to “potential fans” is great and all, but if someone wants to check out my music, it can be done without that. I’m sure most of my listeners come from my social media efforts and not anything those services have done.

It’s not about money, though it would be great to make a living from music. Maybe I don’t want to contribute my minimal streams to someone else’s massive fortune. Seems so easy to just “comply” since “that’s how it is these days.”

Bleh.
