Review: If You Only Knew by Blackwater Holylight

I’ve been a fan of Blackwater Holylight since they released their self-titled album in 2018. They fit well into the stoner rock scene but definitely have their own sound. If You Only Knew is a further development of their sound, and they get better and better with each release.

I love the keyboard sound that kicks off the album with the song Wandering Lost. A mellow start with the atmospheric vocals coming in. Heavier guitars just creep in without overwhelming the vibe of the song.

Torn Reckless maintains the mood. In fact, the whole album is cohesive as it moves into Fate is Forward and closes with All I Need. All I Need currently is my favorite track from the album.

Only down side to this album, or EP as it is, is that it’s only 22 minutes long. Definitely want more.
