I did a dry run of my set last night, minus the intro song. I’m going to go oddball on that one and play an opening recorded track. Well, that’s the plan for now.
I called it a dry run because I didn’t have any samples ready for accompaniment. So, it’s kind of dry. It was just me, a mic, and a drum machine. The set has potential, but I definitely need to rehearse it and practice singing and playing it.
Now, my thoughts turn to video. I want to put together a video collage for a backdrop. But, I was also thinking about it being a fordrop. Like, I would play behind the screen. Sort of like a live music accompaniment to the video. I’m not sure if I can do that with the screen U have, since I kind of need to see the video, too.
I’ve also thought of just getting some simple lighting to do an uplight and darken the rest of the stage. But that seems to put the spotlight to directly on me for my introverted nature.
Maybe I’ll figure it out.
