You know, I thought, why not. Why not post about it. There is only so much “content” I can do about this Slow Draw crap, and I’m not in the mood to review music. We’ll, that last part is partially true. I’m stuck on listening to Astral Hand’s Lords of Data, which is not a bad thing in my book.

The EarthQuaker Devices Life Pedal popped up in ads in my social media feed. I checked out videos of it and decided I’d try it out. Saved a few bucks by grabbing the demo pedal. Great condition and fully functional.
I first tested it out alone, outside of my pedal board. It was pretty easy to dial in the sound I was wanting. It has 3 clipping settings, which seems to just tighten the distortion sound. I left it on the “loosest” one. The Magnitude setting it essentially a boost. The Octave adds a higher end to the sound. I’m not sure about that one, but it could come in handy if I need to cut through anything.
I was using the JHS Not-A-Klon for distortion, but this easily replaces that. And, it worked well with my split setup. Guess I can make a post about that sometime, unless I have already and forgot about it.
