Here’s another attempt from me at writing a music review. I feel like they read wonky, but you know what, I don’t care. Enjoy it or not, the main thing is to go listen to music.

Obey Capricorn is the opening track, and it starts off with some effect drenched vocal before laying right into the heaviness. It pummels through and softens a bit as it ends, and Phantom Castle Warning brings it back. Great riffs and vocals, and what sounds like a synthesizer bringing up the background.
Auto-Skull kicks right off with the chugging riff. I’ve listened to the album a few times, and this one stands out immediately with that start. The added synth stuff a third the way through adds to that. The syncopated-ish bridge is great as well.
Relics has an ethereal intro with subtle vocals. It holds that tone and approach right until Night Grief rips you back to a stomp-ish type riff and drum sound. I dig the synth lead bridge in the song. It tones down the stomp and gets you ready for the slow roll back into the full chug of the song.
The bleeping and blooping intro to Physical Witching is music to my ears, and I love the synthiness of this one. The slow march of it helps with the intensity of the sound. Pinkish Black vibes for sure.
Chrome Sisters brings back the guitar, and you can still hear that synth sound in the background. The riffing is more laid back, less chugging, and a great placement in the order on the album.
Biclops, isn’t that what we are(?), harkens back to songs earlier on the album. Not a “sounds the same” but more of a continuation.
Summer Skeletons starts subdued with some altered spoken word, made to sound in a deep register. It quickly transitions into the closer To Ultramegaphonium. A combination of chugging and stomping riffage that brings up that headbanging energy. It gracefully plays with dynamics as it smoothes out the riff and slows down to just the bass with some ethereal noise and cymbal swell and clatter. Droney and ambient before smacking back with the riff. The effect-laced chorus at the end made me think of Styx, but that’s not a bad thing.
The only thing bad about this album is that I can’t get a CD or record of it. Slomatics are from the UK, and shipping is either too expensive or just not happening anyway. Fuck that shit.
