I went to the Friday and Saturday portions of Ripplefest this weekend. I was thinking of writing about all the bands I saw, but I did not take notes. So, you get what I can deliver.

Friday at Ripplefest was great. But, that can be said about both days that I attended. Such insight, I know. This will be more of a “picture book” rundown, but some of my highlights from Friday are Insomniac, Lake Lake, and Whores. I hadn’t heard or seen Whores before, so bonus on that and Lake Lake. Lake Lake played a cover song, and I couldn’t figure it out. At least it sounded like a cover. I think they had the most unique sound of the fest. The following are that day, in order of performance:

Like I said, Saturday night was great, too! Standouts for me were Sundrifter (looking forward to them, and they delivered), Shun, and Valley of the Sun. Karma Vulture and Suplecs were good as well. I dug ASG, and Wo Fat’s set was great. There was a 45-minute power outage, and the fest did a great job working around that. In order of performance, here is Saturday’s lineup:

Fun time, and it was nice to see friends running about the fest. I kept to myself, for the most part, but said I when I could. Maybe I’ll go next year, we’ll see. It would be cool to get Stone Machine Electric on this fest, but not holding my breath. I should have brought download cards to pass out for the new album coming out next week. It’s too late now! Ha!
Now, gotta hit the road back home.
