Saturday Night at Haltom Theater

Actually got out to a local show. But that is made easier when they’re friends playing from out of town in the lineup.

Temple of Love

Suzy and Steve brought Temple of Love up from Austin. They laid down a great mix of dark rock infused with punkish undertones. I couldn’t help but hear a little doom pop up here and there, but maybe that’s me. They have a new album coming out November 7th, go check it out.

Grandelusion

Grandelusion, though I don’t know them, put on a great show. A mix of alternative and grunge, but maybe the Alice in Chains shirt put that into my head. I enjoyed the guitar approach and sound. It came off a bit stoner-esque in a good way. I’ll be seeing them again at the Stone Machine Electric album release show on 10/24 at Growl.

Temptress

Kelsey, Christian, and Andy brought Temptress to town for this show. Always love seeing them play. They bring that mix of metal, sludge, and hard rock, and nail it on stage. Be on the lookout for their next album in January.
