It’s a Mess

The past few months have been busy in the Stone Machine Electric camp. That usually translates to my studio being an utter mess.

New hands, who dis?

Don’t have a photo to share, but I’m sure you can imagine drum bags and hardware scattered about, merch box open with shirts in disarray, and cables strewn about. I did start the cleanup by organizing the merch box. We’re totally out of XL shirts. Hopefully that won’t matter too much on our next run of shows.

I also reorganized some of the posters on the ceiling. Needed to make room for a couple still rolled up. A couple of years ago I took down the show flyers and put them in a binder. That meant there was leftover and uneven spots on the ceiling, so to fit standard posters I needed to move some around.

The kick drum I re-covered earlier this year got put to use. I put the heads back on it and set it up in place of the practice pad I was using. I plan to use it on some recording, but put a folded sheet on it for practice to dampen the volume.

It is still a mess, but not too bad. I plan to do some recording very soon, so it will get cleaned up more for that.
