Eek!

I made the mistake of looking into something further on Instagram Reels, and now the algorithm has thrown my feed into a pseudo conspiracy theory spiral.

This has been going on for a week. Some of it has been “informative”, so to say. But, a lot of it has been garbage. I enjoy learning some things, but definitely not junk.

I should probably, or at least I have been contemplating ditching the socials. In no way does it seem productive or very useful, other than perpetuating stress and disinformation. I mainly use it for “band promotion”, but wonder if that is even worth it.

I should at least go back to the “drive-by” strategy. Hop on, make a post, check notifications and messages, and jump off. Doomscrolling seems truly that nowadays.
