It’s been a minute, but my Slow Draw set went pretty well! I didn’t flubbed it up too bad, haha!

Obviously, I opened up the show. Did I get a photo of myself or setup? No. Did I play OK? I’ll say yes. A few nice folks said they dug what I did. Mr. Cook came out and enjoyed the noise as well. So, eh. I got video, so I’ll preview and see what is worth sharing.

I was followed by the gents in Hawk vs Dove. A very cool set of heavy rock with great dynamics and a few songs that had a middle eastern vibe or nod, so to say. Dug their set!

Sons of Gulliver followed. Bringing their heavy bass and drums stoner rock blues vibe. They always lay it down with those straight up rhythms and heavy bass riffage.

Doomboyz soon followed. They came in from Los Angeles to play this show and Stoner Jam in Austin tomorrow. They covered that more desert rock vibe. Unfortunately, their bassist wasn’t able to make it for medical reasons, so they adapted with the use of octave pedals on the rhythm guitar. It worked, and they pulled off a great set.

Warlung closed out the evening. 70s inspired heavy rock, bringing that mid tempo stoner rock. Energetic set, for sure.
I’ll see them and the Doomboyz again at Stoner Jam. That’s going to be a jam packed day. 24 bands on 3 stages. Yeesh! I’ll be drumming with Stone Machine Electric at that show, woot!
