Drove down to the Houston area a few weeks ago. In doing so, I passed through Waco. I always loved the monolithic look of the American Bank in Waco. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like this anymore. I believe they demolished it and built a new building.
I get that it probably didn’t function in they way they needed it to. Like everything else, the way things are done changes over time. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just one less icon for me to observe as I pass through that area when I’m on the road.
I’ll be alright as long as the Czech Stop in West, Texas doesn’t get taken out. They can rebuild that if they want, just want those kolaches.
