I hadn’t heard of Insomniac prior to them reaching out to me through the Stone Machine Electric email about a playing a show with them as they toured through town. SME wasn’t available, but I did get Headeraser to play. That was a fun show at Armoury DE, even though I somehow lost a cable.
Om Moshka Ritam is an alternative style venture into a doomish landscape. It is rooted in more of that 90s grunge versus the 70s Sabbathian style of the genre. Think Soundgarden, that’s what it gives me, but with a more ethereal sound from the vocals.
The passion in the album carries over to their live set. I was lucky not only to play with them but to catch their set at Ripplefest. Hypnotic and heavy.
