I treated myself recently to a new piece of gear. A swanky guitar!
It is a J Mascis Jazzmaster by Squier. I tried put a few guitars at the old Guitar Center near me. It was either this one or the Fender Vintera II Jazzmaster. I do like the sound of this one, as well as the price tag compared to the Vintera. So, win-win!
I also just got my bass amp back from Dragon Amplifiers. Apparently, there was a connection issue in the effects loop, and my jacks were all dirty to boot. That didn’t surprise me since I don’t keep up with that type of thing. But, it’s back up and running, and it doesn’t require that old “bang on the side of the TV” approach to get it going.
