TN Day 3

Today was an all day trot around Nashville. You’d think we’d see some music related things, but we didn’t. I was planning to take us to another studio tour, but that one happened to be closed down for maintenance. Figures.

Street Art

The first place we tried going to wasn’t open yet. Google said they were supposed to be open, but their sign said otherwise. Oh well, on to the next.

The Parthenon

So, we went to the Parthenon. Obviously not the real one, but the one in Nashville. It was pretty cool. We were able to walk around it, but couldn’t get in. It was closed for HVAC maintenance. Of course. But, we did know beforehand. Still, ug.

Lynda being a tease

The only thing about the Parthenon that really bugged me is the misalignment of the sidewalk control joint. Lame!

Make it straight!

Then onto Frist art Museum. The only exhibit they had going was the Impressionist exhibit. How fun that it was all the stuff on loan from the Dallas Art Museum. It was fun, and some old lady just thought it made sense to stand right in front of me as I’m ready the sign about a piece. Anyway, this museum is in an old post office.

After that, it was time for lunch. We went to a place called The Wash. A little complex with 4 or so walk up restaurants. Lynda got Pho, and I got a quesadilla. Both were great.

Random building

We found a cool curiosity shop called Hail. They have lots of cool art and curiosities. Lynda got a tarot reading while we were there. I bought stickers. They also had accessible parking that totally looked in compliance.

Slope is worse than it looks.
