I’ve been a fan of Big Brave since 2018/2019 or so. I was drawn in by the heavy tones and the hypnotic vocals.

In grief or in hope is their latest offering. Of note, the album is void of percussion. Do I miss it? No. In all actuality, I have enjoyed this album, especially with the volume at a good level through my headphones. It is easy to get buried in this drone drenched album. Guitar feedback and noise creating that melodic hum, and the bass providing a bit of rhythmic backbone to the song structures. The vocals are as I would expect from Big Brave, always enchanting and mesmerizing.
A great album to get lost in.
I’ll finally get to see them live on July 30th at Rubber Gloves in Denton with The Body. I think they have come through the area once or twice before, but I missed those, obviously. If you’re in DFW, hope to see you there.
