Since July of 2024, I’ve been forming new habits beneficial to my well being.

Since then, I get in at least 4,000 steps every morning. It’s either walking circles around the house or work (easy since I’m the first one there). While doing that, I have transitioned from doom scrolling to listening. I’ll either listen to music, but lately it has mainly been a podcast/audio from an internet call-in show.
I’m also doing strength training 5 days a week. It’s typically 15-20 minutes on weekdays and 40-45 minutes on weekends. And I’m using that time to spin records. That means I’m actually listening to them more.
I recently bought a CD player from Amazon, but it didn’t work. I sent it back and just ordered a used component one off of Ebay. I’m betting that one works, but at least they have a 30 day warranty if it doesn’t.
