Early Moods has a new one out, so I hopped on the Bandcamp app and ordered a CD. Only disappointment is that Riding Easy Records didn’t include a sticker like they have done in the past. Boo!
I won’t apologize for my sticker obsession. But to get to the point of this post, Ready for the Grave by Early Moods makes for a doomy September. I’m still surprised by the ease with which Early Moods seem to put out such consistent and fresh doom music. They pull together sounds from different decades past and meld them into a sound of their own. It’s like NOS in music form. It has that old familiar sound, but is nice a new, and you dig that.
