A dream that has no beginning or end sounds like you wouldn’t know you were in one. At least I know what I’m listening to when I put on Rezn.
Cycles in the Infinite Dream is a heady and cohesive trip. Rezn continues to bring the heavy sound mixed with psychedelic prog rock. Cycles is trippy and precise in execution. Metal riffs covered in soundscapes smoothes out the heaviness as it’s bathed in melodic vocals.
Where else are you going to get saxophone, lap steel, flute, or violin on an album like this? Maybe some old King Crimson album from the 70s. A very thoughtful use of “alternative” instrumentation. Well, at least in the stoner/doom world.
